2005 League Division 4 Mid/South Final
The Clann na nGael Shines Bar junior B team played St Brigids in the replay of the Division 4 league final on Sunday last in Knockcroghery. Clann earned a replay thanks to a Olly Harney wonder goal at the end of the drawn game. The fact that we were not granted a home game for the replay did not bother the team at all as they raced into a 3 point lead early in the game. Our close rivals managed 2 points of their own, but with Enda Kenny on form Clann went in at the break 2 points to the good.
Clann came out all guns blazing in the second half with super sub Morgan Keena scoring a brace of points early in the half. Clann were in cruise control and points from Alan Dunne, David Lennon and David Flynn ensured a place for Clann in the league final next Sunday.
