BALLINACREE 2003
PHOTOGRAPHIC EXHIBITION

Ballinacree 2003 was an exhibition of photographs taken by local people during 2003 documenting life in Ballinacree.

The project was devised by the Local History Group and ICA Guild and some 27 cameras were in action between early spring and the end of the summer.  Every aspect of community activity has been recorded.  The project grew from the Images of Ballinacree Exhibition held three years ago.  It recorded the rapid social change locally.  Ballinacree 2003 is already being scanned and saved to CD and will form part of a growing local history archive.  

Nearly 400 hundred photographs went on display in Ballinacree Community Centre on the weekend of 9/10 August 2003.
