Death of Delia Melbic/nee Nulty |
MESSAGE |
Hello I am a daughter of Mary Nulty and I was in touch by email in Jan 2012.
I would like to inform all locals that her sister Delia died on
Friday 9th November 2012 in a nursing home in England.
I know that there a lot of people who would remember her.
As she has been in a nursing home for 21 years we have decided to have
her cremated and have her ashes placed in her mother and father 's
grave in Ballinacree . It was always her wishes to come home to
Ireland. John and Larry Nulty her two brothers are also buried there.
When I receive her ashes We will be trying to arrange a blessing and
some prayers for Delia as Delia was very religious and kept her faith.
I think will she would be very happy with this arrangement that we
have planned for her. We would not like to have her ashes buried in
some some strange place were nobody could visit the grave.
Kind Regards
Valerie Fahy, Daughter of the Late Mary Nulty, fahyvalerie3@gmail.com

Hi,I wonder if you could kindly let me know whether you have any record in the 1950’s of a Bridget Cullen or Catherine Cullen whose Father was Thomas Francis Cullen and mother Kathleen Cullen. Instead of replying to this email address which is my place of work, would you kindly reply to cathyccullen@gmail.com (please note the extra “c” between my christian and surname) as that’s my personal email address.
Many thanks indeed!

I hope you don't mind my writing to you but I noticed your wonderful work on the Web.
I am helping a friend with family genealogy and the above female is of interest to us. We have her birth certificate and in 1911 she was aged 5 and shown as a scholar but obviously at her age could still not read or write.
Her father couldn't read of write either and by that time sadly he was a widower.
I just wondered if you had any information on her or her siblings - in 1911 Mary was aged 17, Nellie 16, Luke 9. There had been 7 children in the family but only 5 were still living, perhaps the eldest was already married or living elsewhere.
Perhaps there is another school close to Ross - Mount Nugent perhaps?? I think their church would have been there.
If you have any information or know anyone of that particular family I would love to be informed.
We are driving South on Wednesday to investigate this family, so would love an early reply.
Many thanks - and keep up the good work.

I live in Alaska, but today I’m thinking a lot about how much fun it would be to visit Ireland! It is -10degrees F and due to stay cold all week. We have about 4 feet of snow on the ground – but the days are getting longer and today it is very sunny.
Both my husband’s Moore family and my Starr family are from the Ballinacree area. They were Quakers who immigrated to America in early 1700s. I’m trying to find more records on these families before they arrived in Pennsylvania and wonder where you would recommend I begin.
John Starr was from Old Castle born about 1645, and some records of his family are from Ballyhaise meeting. James Moore was born in Ballinacree in 1653
Any help or suggestions about resources that might be available to me in Alaska would be great!
Thank you. Ginny Moore Anchorage, Alaska, USA, tgmoore@gci.net |
