Venturers > Explorer Belt 2001 - Italy

The Explorer Belt is an Internationlly recognised challenge, which involves 25 teams of 2 venturers being brought to a foregin country and dropped off with their gear, a map some money and a loits of projects to be completed - and a 200km hike over 10 days !

 

This years event was held in Italy and 2 teams from Ballinlough participated in the event.

 

The teams were dropped in different locations, though their paths did cross during the 10 days hike.  They were not allowed to take any form of public transport or accept any lifts.  They alos had to survice on a budget of approx. £3 per day.
