Carnglass Wood Tallow, Co. Waterford

Carnglass Wood is located near the Cork / Waterford border. It is about 10 kms North-West of the town of Youghal in East Cork.	The wood is just a few kms off the R634 Youghal to Tallow road and just South of the village of Knockanore.

Directions....Take the N25 East from Cork to Youghal. After Killeagh, take the Youghal by-pass. At the end of this by-pass, take the left at the roundabout for Tallow. Stay on the R634 for about 11 kms (6 miles). Look for a turn-off to the right for Knockanore (There will probably be a Red & White direction marker at this junction). After about 6 kms, you will come to the 3rd turn-off to the right which will bring you into Knockanore. The wood is just South of this beyond the village.
The are a number of alternative routes.......
a) A shorter route involves turning North at Killeagh and going via Mount Uniacke. But unless you know the roads well, you might be better off sticking with the route via Youghal.
b) The shortest route is probably on by-roads from near the roundabout at the end of the Youghal by-pass. The planner may decide to put up direction markers for this on the day. Just be aware of this and keep a look out as you travel on the R634 North from Youghal to Tallow.
c) Depending on where you live, it might be easier to go to Tallow first and take the road South for Youghal.
Look for Red & White direction markers on the day.
