Coolbeggan Wood Tallow, Co. Waterford

Coolbeggan Wood is located near the Cork / Waterford border. It is about 12 kms North-West of the town of Youghal in East Cork.	The wood is just a few kms off the R634 Youghal to Tallow road.

Directions....Take the N25 East from Cork to Youghal. After Killeagh, take the Youghal by-pass. At the end of this by-pass, take the left at the roundabout for Tallow. Stay on the R634 for about 11 kms (6 miles). Look for a turn-off to the right for Knockanore (There will probably be a Red & White direction marker at this junction). The wood is about 4 kms down this road.
The are a number of alternative routes.......
a) The shortest route involves turning North at Killeagh and going via Mount Uniacke. But unless you know the roads well, you might be better off sticking with the route via Youghal.
b) Depending on where you live, it might be easier to go to Tallow first and take the road South for Youghal.
Look for Red & White direction markers on the day.
