Slieveowen Wood is in West Cork and is about 35 kms West of  Cork City. It is only 13 kms from N22 Cork to Macroom road.	Slieveowen Wood is less than 2 kms North of the small village of Coppen on the R585 Crookstown to Glengarrif road.

Directions....Coming from Cork, take the N22 for Macroom. After you pass an area called Farnanes, you need to keep a look out for and to take, a turn off left for Crookstown / Glengarriff / Castletownbere. Once in Crookstown, take the left for Bealnablath and Castletownbere. You are now on the R585. After about 10 kms, you will come to the very small village of Coppeen. Take the minor road right and North from there to get to Slieveowen wood. See the map above.
