Great introduction to Applied Kinesiology,

Robert Frost's AK manual is lean and to the point. It
gives the history of AK, how AK is used in Europe and the
USA, theory into the mechanisms of the reflexes used in
AK, basic therapeutic procedures with explainations, and
clear diagrams of the basic muscle tests and the
appropriate reflexes. A perfect complement to the 100
hour course. I recommend this book to any student or
practioner in health care who is looking to expand their
skill set.

Book Description
A practical and reliable diagnostic tool that has emerged
over the past twenty-five years, kinesiology is the study
of the mechanics of bodily motion, especially muscle
movements and their relationship to our body systems.
Viewing the body as a balanced triad of structure,
chemistry, and mentality, applied kinesiology gauges
muscle response to pinpoint underlying physical problems.
Within 30 minutes, a competent kinesiologist can evaluate
bodily functions and provide a readout on the workings of
the glands, organs, lymphatic system, circulatory and
nervous systems, circulation, and muscle-bone structure.
Applied Kinesiology demonstrates how this technique can
be of practical use for everyone.

I found yhis book very informative, it gives interesting
accounts on every part of the body by recognising
responses in the muscles. It gives plain explanations and
easy guidedlines to follow, this would assist a student
to be able to recognise step by step and help them to
recieve messages about healthy or unhealthy parts of the
body.' It would also help them to form an opinion as how
to help the patient and follow thru with medication in
erbel therepies and also make the patient aware of the
bodies functions. This book has been thouroughly written
with thought, and easy to read and understand without
getting very technical.

Overall good book., January 27, 2000

from Narnia
This is a very well written and explained book. It is
worth buying. It is well documented, scientific and no
theological junk of the author is thrown in like so many
other dissapointing books. However, it does take an
investment in time and can be difficult for those who are
not advanced readers. If you are just starting, start
with "Your Body Doesn't Lie". Another great
book, not so in depth and smaller but easier to read.

Touch for Health uncovers the healing magic
of human touch!, October 1, 1998
Reviewer: Jim Lambert (jim@entrance.to)
from West Virginia, USA
I have been using Touch for Health as a part of my life
for almost 20 years. I can't imagine life without it.
After learning a few basic premises & techniques (more
readily learned with experienced assistance) it allows a
lay person to utilize acupressure effectively! If that
isn't enough to amaze you, the applied kinesiology allows
an individual to ask the brain direct questions and to
receive direct, correct, answers about the body's
condition. Kinesiology can be used to determine if the
body needs a substance (vitamins, minerals), and if so
how much. It also can be used to determine what food
items cause negative reactions. Regular practical use of
Touch for Health will teach the user to better understand
the interrelation between the body's different
components, thereby making many health mysteries
understandable. Most amazing is that nothing in this
review is hyperbole, but rather, understatement!
Using Touch for Health helps an individual discover one
of the most important secrets of life: that human touch
is so much more than just sex or punishment. YOU can
learn the magic of 'the laying on of hands'.

Reader Review
Is the testing system credible?,
March 22, 2002
Reviewer: len_f (see
more about me at Amazon.com)
from Fanwood, NJ United States
There is a wealth of information here about herbs,
minerals, vitamins, amino acids, and many other topics of
interest to alternative health readers. The point we keep
returning to is that our medical problems are caused by
allergies, and that allergies can be cured by taking
antidotes.
Muscle Response Testing (MRT) is used to determine what
we are allergic to and exactly how to cure the allergy.
But the MRT system is so hard to believe. It is like
tapping into a realm of magic. And yet everything in this
book takes you back to this unusual method of testing.
Do you need Vitamin C? Place a Vitamin C pill in your
right hand, press it to your solar plexus. Extend your
left arm. Your doctor then presses down on your extended
left arm. Is your resistance strong? Is your arm rigid?
Try it again, holding two vitamin pills this time. Is
your extended arm stronger this way?
Being open minded, I gave it a try even though it seems
unscientific. Holding different amounts of pills did have
varying effects on my thoughts. Does this test rely on
the fact that the person being tested knows what he is
holding and this affects how strong his resistance will
be? Will he then subconsciously try to satisfy the tester
by giving an appropriate amount of resistance? Do the
results really tell what your body needs, or do they tell
what you think you need?
One of the most valuable bits of advice in this book is
that your state of mind deeply affects your health, and
that worrying and being afraid will not do you any good.
When you feel this way you are advised to say a prayer.
This will re-focus you and turn your negativity around.
The author is obviously very knowledgeable, and I believe
him when he says he has helped many patients.
