Why we’re here

We all need to be able to connect with God and with His children in meaningful and helpful ways.  Here are some of the reasons why are glad to be part of this church family:

Outlook

It’s hard to keep things in perspective under the stress of everyday pressures, so we need to take time out to talk to God and to really listen to what He wants to say to us.

Friends

We’ve found some of our best friendships come from meeting new people at Carrick Baptist who have different backgrounds, but similar interests.  Relationships become more satisfying as we discover we have more in common than we thought!

Answers

Most of us are struggling with some pretty big “real-life issues” that might overwhelm us—if we had to work through them alone.  At church, we are finding practical answers from God’s Word, loving encouragement from God’s people, and real power from God’s Spirit.

Family

We want our children to learn to respect others by learning to love and trust God. During the formative years of childhood and adolescence, it is very important for them to be developing spiritually and gaining the life-long advantage of God’s wisdom.

Purpose

As life becomes more and more hectic, it’s sometimes hard to tell where we’re actually headed! Our church has helped us discover and enjoy a reason for living that is both satisfying and lasting.

 

From our Church Constitution:

“Carrickmacross Baptist Church exists to bring glory to God through true worship, faithful obedience to the whole teaching of God’s Word, loving relationships with one another and the joyful proclamation of the Good News that repentant sinners can be forgiven and have eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ.”
