www.clareireland.com
Quite
simply the best County Clare site on the web (excluding mine of
course!)
I've
never heard of this site until a week ago! It has very low publicity
compared to the Information Age Site
|
Features
A membership
club where users can post messages to your 'page'. Around 320 members
at last count. Also, your e-mail address is never shown on the site
when you sign up.
Pages
for Tourists such as the Burren, Aran Islands and Accommodation
pages. Pages on Clare books, families, maps, weather, cinema........
Amazing
amount of content.

The
most heard about Clare site. This has been publicized a lot with
ads for the 'Millennium Greeting Cards' in the Clare Champion and
in every school. Designed by Eircom as the Information Age Town
Site.
|
Features
A searchable
database of nearly all of the businesses in Ennis. This has business
addresses, e-mail's, phone numbers, URLS..
A Secondary
School 'Digital
Newspapers' project. Millennium and Christmas e-mail greeting.
Local News service. Very well designed with eye-popping graphics.

news archive.
A schedule
of what's on the station. Comprehensive sports coverage and a Teen-Zine.

www.clarechampion.ie
A great
news site as you would expect from a newspaper. All of the news
from the paper is hosted on the 'Regional
Media Bureau of Ireland' site.
|
Features
This
site doesn't have much except news. I suppose it does have a page
all about the history of the paper which is very interesting.
A few
other small pages such as a 'Who's who' page and of course subscription
rates. That's it really.

Four

www.clarenet.ie
A wide
range of features here, mostly aimed at tourists. Provides links
to news articles concerning Clare at the amazing 'Irish
Times' site.
|
Features
Ultimately,
a page on every parish in Clare, but not half of them are finished.
Should be a good site when they are completed though.
An
events calendar, accomodation and property pages. A daily weather
service also.
