All classes from 3rd to 6th class enjoyed and gave their opinions on the Poetry available on this Dublin School site.

http://www.iol.ie/~scheart/poem2000.htm

We had a poetry week in school. Here are ten of our poems.

"Some are funny, some are sad, we hope you think they're not too bad!"

Please read them and let us know your favourite, and if there's anything in particular you liked about it.

We hope you enjoy reading our work.

This is a site which has a wealth of valuable resources for the Primary School.

Reply received from Santa at Santa.com

Subject: Thank you for writing me, marianne

Dear marianne,

Thank you for your letter. After a hard day here at the

North Pole, it was nice to settle down with a cup of hot

chocolate and read your note.

The elves and I have been pretty busy getting ready for

Christmas. We've been hard at work making toys and polishing

Christmas ornaments. All the reindeer, especially Rudolph and

Blitzen, are starting to get excited about "our big night."

Now, about those presents. I'll try and make sure you get

what's on your list. If you change your mind about some

things, please let me know.

But, you've got to do your part, too. That means listening

to your parents and being extra good.

Rock Tock and Jiffy, our cool Kid Zone elves, wanted me to

remind you to make sure you check out the Kid's Zone again some

time soon. They've done some pretty neat things with it. And

they're pretty excited to show it off. Click here to check it

Gotta get back to making toys, now. See you on Christmas Eve!

Chocolate chip cookies and low-fat milk are my favorites (hint-hint).

Your friend,

Santa
