Rebirthing
is a simple breathing technique rooted in the ancient traditions of India
and China but developed in the United States in the early 1970's. Over
the past thirty years, it has been shaped by the discipline of both western

think we should be." (Rebirthing and Breathwork, Piaktus, 2000) For
many, this also leads to a sense of spiritual connection and belonging.
"The

alteration to appropriate breathing exercises."
Brain Mind Bulletin, Vol. 8, No. 3, 1983
