PRAYER MEETING
Prayer Group meet in Community Centre on Thursday night at 8.00pm.  All are welcome.
CELEBRATION OF SACRAMENTS IN OUR PARISH
First Holy Communion – Cloonfad – Sunday May 4th.
Confirmation – Granlahan – Saturday March 22nd.
Preparation Day for those being confirmed at Ballintubber Abbey on March 6th.  Fr. Frank Fahey will speak to Parents of children being confirmed on Thursday night March 13th in Ballinlough Parochial Hall.
CLOONFAD BINGO
Bingo will take place in Cloonfad Community Centre on Tuesday night (Feb 4th) at 8.30pm.  This is a Fund Raising Bingo to help with the organizing of this years St. Patricks Day Parade in the village. Numerous prizes on offer.

.  FAI Junior Cup Rd.4  Carbury F.C.– v- Cloonfad Utd.  Kick off 2pm in McSharry Park, Sligo.
Roscommon Cup. Rd 1.  Cloonfad Utd “B” –v- Moore Utd “B”. Kick off 2pm in Cloonfad. 
Cloonfad United wishes to announce the revival of the Cloonfad Festival in 2003.  All the usual activities and events will take place, culminating in the ‘Festival Ball’ on Saturday 3rd August.  Further information  available from committee members.
CLOONFAD MAGAZINE
The Annual General Meeting of the Cloonfad Magazine Committee will take place in the Community Centre on Monday February 3rd at 8.30pm.  All members are asked to attend.  New members would be most welcome and greatly appreciated.

CLOONFAD MAGAZINE
Following its AGM the committee would like to advise the following:

·        Feature Village for next year’s edition will be Cloonfad Lower Station Area.

·        Painting Competition - closing date is 1st March.

·        Competition for a Cover Photograph will run again this year.  Winning photo will be the Cover.  Photograph needs to be a landmark/ scene in the Cloonfad or surrounding area, and should not contain people.

·        Articles, old photographs, Wedding & 21st Birthday photographs are needed and would be appreciated.  Please hand in to O’Malleys or any member of the committee.  Thank You.

P.T.A.A.
The All Ireland Finals of the National Readoiri Competitions organized by the Pioneer Total Abstinence Association in music, song, dance and drama will be held in the Royal Theatre, Castlebar on Saturday 22nd February at 1pm.  Tickets are available only by applying in writing to the ticket secretary:  Mr Tom Carroll, Mountbellew, Co. Galway.
PARENT TEACHER MEETING
A parent/teacher meeting will take place in Cloonfad primary school on Tuesday from 1pm to 3pm.
QUIZ TEAM SUCCESS
Congratulations to Cloonfad school quiz team who won the Ballyhaunis area Credit Union Table Quiz in which over thirty teams took part.
SECONDARY SCHOOL GIRLS SPORT
Sport continues for secondary school girls on Tuesday night at 8pm.  All welcome.
TUAM DIOCESAN DIRECTORY 2003/2004
The new Directory for the Archdiocese will be on sale in the Church next Sunday 16th February.  The Directory is full of interest and is also a comprehensive record of all Diocesan personnel, services and information.  This years Directory will be bigger and more attractive than ever with 154 pages.  As well as giving names and phone numbers for all parishes, priests, religious houses, schools, hospitals and residential homes, it contains hundreds of contact numbers for people in the various parish organisations.  The Directory also contains a section on pilgrimages in the diocese, and a multitude of caring services for Marriage, the Family, Emigrants, a historical piece on the Churches of the Archdiocese, and a new Colour Map of the Diocese.

A day of reflection for the Archdiocese of Tuam, and dioceses of Achonry, Elphin and Killala will be held at St. Johns Rest & Care Centre, Knock on Saturday 1st March from 10am to 5pm.  All are welcome.
