Premier Division:  Cloonfad Utd –v- Castlerea Celtic.  Kick Off 11.30pm – Roscommon Cup Rd 3:  Cloonfad Utd ‘B’ –v-  Cam Celtic.  Kick off 2.30pm.  Both games in Cloonfad.  Please Support.
CHOIR PRACTICE
Choir practice on Monday & Friday night at 8.30pm for Easter & Holy Communion.  New members welcome.
NURSERY THYMES – CLOONFAD PRE-SCHOOL
Holding an Easter fund raising raffle – 3 hamper prizes – Confectionary/Meat/Drink.  Lines can be purchased at any of the shops/pubs in Cloonfad.  Draw will take place on 11th April at the Pre-School Easter fundraising disco.  Disco starts at 6.30pm for 3-14years, all children 8yrs and under are to be collected by 8.30pm.  Disco closing at 10.30pm for all others.  There is to be an Easter Hat/Bonnett Parade with 1st, 2nd, 3rd prizes.  Entrance fees apply.  The staff and committee look forward to seeing you all on the night. Money raised will be going towards purchasing much needed toys and equipment for the Pre-School.
CONGRATULATIONS
Congratulations and best wishes to Martin Kearns, Lavallyroe & Dublin, and Julia Willison, London who got married in Kent on Saturday April 5th.  We wish them a lifetime of helath & happiness.

PRAYER MEETING
There won’t be any prayer meeting on Holy Thursday night.  Prayer Group praying in the Church after reposition of the Blessed Sacrament.  Prayer meeting resumes on April 24th in the Community Centre at 8pm.  All welcome.

Sunday April 13th
Roscommon Cup Quarter Finals: 
11.30-Cloonfad Utd ‘B’ –v-  Shiven Rovers.  2.30pm-Cloonfad Utd –v- Moore Utd. 
Both games in Cloonfad.  Please Support.
PASSION PLAY
Passion Play in the Grounds of Ballintubber Abbey on Mon 14th, Tue 15th, Wed 16th at 9pm each evening.  The drama lasts for one hour.  It is a worthwhile way to commence Holy Week.
MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS COLLECTION
The MS church gate collection will be taken up at masses this weekend.
SPORTEHTON
In aid of Kiltullagh Community games sports vests takes place in Cloonfad Community Centre on Sautrday next from 12noon to 5pm.  Please support.
MICHAEL GLAVEY’S LADIES TRAINING
Training for under 12’s Monday and Friday under 14’s Tuesday and Friday and all other age groups Friday evening.
TOKENS
Pupils from Cloonfad N.S. are collecting tokens from the Irish Independent Newspapers.  Please help.
KILTULLAGH MENTALLY HANDICAPPED ASSOCIATION
Local winners in the 300 Club – March 2003 draw were:  Ann Beirne, P.J. Moran, Nell Keane, Margaret McGuire, Helen O’Gara, Phil Waldron.
PARISH PASTORAL COUNCIL
A meeting of the Pastoral Council will take place in the usual venue on Monday night at 9.30pm to arrange for the Easter Ceremonies.

EASTER 2003

Happy Easter everyone.  Another year passes so quickly and we wonder where time goes to.  Symbolic of that time of year that  seems just a few months ago since we last celebrated Easter are the  ceremonies prepared for us by Fr. Tom Commins.  He is the first to acknowledge that he gets a great deal of help from all the community and told parishners on Saturday night vigil and Sunday morning mass how much he appreciates the help he gets  and how content he is to be here in Cloonfad.  

During the week a good attendance  witnessed the Easter spirit culminating on the high-point of the week on Easter Sunday.  Weather being as it was people were more inclined to be out and demonstrated a good spirited humour more accustomed to summer time.  Many thanks Fr. Tom for the insight you give us into your spirituality.

CLAREMORRIS GOLF CLUB
A beginners introductory evening will be held in Claremorris Golf Club on Friday 25th April at 7.30pm.  Anyone who is interested in learning to play golf are invited to attend.

TROCAIRE
The contribution from the different Church areas in the Parish for Lent 2002 were as follows:  Ballinlough €2010; Cloonfad €1684; Granlahan €1506.  Sincere Thanks. Could you return the Trocaire Boxes for 2003 as soon as possible.  Thank you for your co-operation.
DORMANT ACCOUNTS SCHEME
The attention of Parishioners is drawn to the Governments Dormant Accounts Scheme.  If you have an account in the Post Office, a Bank or Building Society which you have not used for a number of years, you should now make direct contact with the relevant financial institution.  The same applies to old Life Assurance Policies where premiums have not been paid for some time, or where the policy is paid up, but you may have forgotton about it.  Further information on Church notice board.

TEAMPALLAIN MHUIRE RESTORATION (Childrens Buriel Ground)
The committee would like to announce that foundation work has commenced on this project. It is proposed to build, plaster and cap a perimeter wall and erect a Cross on completion of the work. Anyone wishing to make a donation to this very worthwhile project can do so to Bank Account Number 01066070; Sort Code 985270 in the Ulster Bank, Ballyhaunis, Co. Mayo, or to any of the committee members.  Any donations would be most welcome and greatly appreciated. The members of the committee are Jarlath Regan, Eddie Birmingham, Sean Bowens, Peggy Prendergast, Teresa Birmingham, Martin Regan, Louis Prendergast, Tom Costello.
Webmaster's comment: It goes without saying that anyone who reads these pages who is away from home or indeed away from our shores and have relatives from this area, can greatly assist with this worthwhile effort by the committee.  It is an acknowledgement of times past and children who were precious to their parents and we honour them by this undertaking.

CLOONFAD UTD
Sunday April 27th
– Roscommon Cup Semi-Final.  Cloonfad Utd –v- Ballinalsoe Town in Taughmaconnell.  Kick Off 2.30pm.  Players and supporters leave Cloonfad at 12.15pm for anyone wishing to travel.  Girls U 16 Training on Thursday evening at 7.30pm.  Contact Evelyn Fleming or Dermot Burke.
ENABLE IRELAND
Richard Carney, Claremorris has recently released a CD “Songs of Comfort”, the proceeds of  which are being donated to Enable Ireland Mayo Services.  CD’s are available from Enable Ireland, Claremorris Tel. 094 62444.  All support would be greatly appreciated.
