Fr. Tom celebrating mass at the mass rock at Cloonarkin, Cloonfad.  A crowd of over one hundred people attended at the old historic site.  Other than the tridentine mass,  it is over twenty years since mass was celebrated here.

Sincere thanks for your very generous support of the Church.
This weekend – Church Collection goes towards the Cloonfad Cemetery Committee.
PRAYER MEETING
Prayer Group meet in the Community Centre on Thursday at 8pm.  All are welcome.
CONGRATULATIONS
Congratulations and best wishes to Mark Jennings, Pollinalty, Cloonfad and Margaret Burke, Ballyhaunis who get married in St.Patricks Church Ballyhaunis on Sunday August 1st.  We wish them a lifetime of health and happiness.
FAS COURSES
FAS propose to run a ‘Care Provider Course’ in Roscommon on 4th October, and a ‘Retail Sales’ course in Castlerea on 13th September.  These are fulltime courses and training allowances will be paid for the duration of the course.  Information from Roscommon FAS Office Tel 090 6626802 and Castlerea Job Club Tel. 094 9621510.
CLOONFAD MAGAZINE 2004
The magazine committee would like to remind readers that the focus area for Cloonfad 2004 is Clogher Lower & Upper, Clooncam, Rathlena & Derrylahan.  The committee is looking for Articles and photographs for the above areas or indeed any area of interest.  Photographs for weddings and 21st’s are also needed, please hand to any member of the committee or to O’Malleys, Cloonfad.  
YOUTH 2000

The Cloonfad Cemetery Committee acknowledge with thanks the collection taken up last weekend, which goes to the ongoing upkeep of our cemetery.  Sincere thanks to Fr. Tom for donating the collection.
PRAYER MEETING
Prayer Group meet in the Community Centre on Thursday at 8pm.  All are welcome.
24HOUR CONTINUOUS  PRAYER
Friday is the 13th day of August, so it is the turn of Cloonfad Community to pray the 24hours of continuous prayer for Marriage and Family Life.  We would be grateful if those that signed up to pray one hour per month would pray your allotted time on this Friday.  Times from 12am Friday morning until 12pm Friday night August 13th.  Thank you for your support.

There won’t be any Prayer Meeting on this Thursday night due to Knock Novena.  Prayer meeting resume as usual on Thursday August 26th at 8pm.
MID CONNAUGHT ENVIRONMENTAL CONCERN GROUP
A public meeting will be held in Cloonfad Community Centre Monday night next Aug 16th at 9pm to discuss the community’s response to the re-application for a Dump in Cloonfad. All are asked to attend this important meeting.
CLOONFAD ENTERTAINMENT COMMITTEE
A meeting of the above committee will take place on Wednesday August 18th at 9pm.

CLOONFAD CEMETERY
We would like to thank the people from from Newtown,Curragh,Moigh, Hundred Acres and Meeltraun who looked after the upkeep of the Cemetery for the month of July. We would ask the people from Pollinalty, Pollaphuca, Fiddaune, Coolisker & Ballykilleen station areas to maintain the grounds for the month of August. We would ask this group to meet at 7:30pm on Monday August 16th.

BALLYHAUNIS COMMUNITY SCHOOL
