Lamps will be on sale in the local shops prior to this date.
We are asking people to purchase a candle lamp and put it on the
grave for this special evening of prayer.
We hope you will support our idea and come to the cemetery at the
above time. Hopefully we
can make this an annual event. We
are having a Cemetery Meeting in Cloonfad Community Centre on Tuesday
9th Dec at 9.30pm.
All are welcome. |

At the official switching on of the Christmas
lights in Cloonfad on Sunday last a large crowd gathered to watch Vincent
and Nell Prendergast Pollinalty, throw the switch. A surprise guest
appeared on the scene in the form of Santa Clause who just happened to be
passing. Pat Carney's horse and buggy was a convenient mode of transport
while Santa mingled with the children and as the picture shows a few older
children got involved. |
