24 HOUR CONINTUOUS PRAYER
Thursday is the 13th day of January, so it is the turn of the Cloonfad community to pray for the 24 hours continuous prayer for Marriage & Family Life.  We would be grateful if those that signed up to pray one hour for month, would pray your allotted time on this Thursday.  Times from 12.00am Thursday morning until 12 midnight Jan 13th.  Thank you for your support.
WORLD YOUTH DAY COLOGNE 2005

STUDY THEOLOGY FROM HOME

ASIAN APPEAL FUND
The following amounts have been collected in the 3 pubs in Cloonfad for the Asian Diaster Appeal Fund; Griffins €576; Keanes €430; Jennings €1,610 --- Total €2,616.  This money goes towards the Red Cross to help the Asian Appeal.  Thanks to everyone that gave so generously.
CONFIRMATION
As a preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation Fr.Tod Nolan will speak to parents of those being confirmed on Tuesday 18th January at 8pm in the Parochial Hall, Ballinlough.  Fr. Benny McHale will speak to parents on Wednesday January 26th at 8pm in Cloonfad Community Centre.
BADMINTON
Badminton takes place on Monday nights at 9.00pm in the Community Centre.  Suitable for all ages, all are welcome. 
UNISLIM
Unislim takes place on Monday nights at 8.30pm in the Hazel Ballyhaunis.
MICHAEL GLAVEY’S PRESENTATION
A presentation function for Michael Glaveys U-12 girls and boys county champions and U-14 runners up will take place in the centre on Saturday evening January 22nd at 6pm.  Roscommon Senior Football Captain Shane Curran will present the medals.  Tea and refreshments for parents and supporters and disco afterwards for the young players.  All are welcome.
HELP WANTED
Help needed to sort out items for a huge container for the Medogorje Orphanage and Old Folks home.  Venue – Toreen Hall on Monday January 17th at 8pm.  All assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Staunton Christmas Lights Appeal for Mayo Roscommon Hospice

The Staunton Christmas Lights Appeal for Mayo Roscommon Hospice amounted to a whopping three thousand one hundred and five euro.  No one was more bowled over than Seamus himself when he realised how generous the many passers-by were who stopped at his Christmas light display.  He said the paper money was sodden wet but who cares.  The picture, taken at the presentation to Hospice Administrator Cynthia Clampett, included Seamus's daughters Karen and Rachel, son David and Seamus himself.

The Faith Today series of 3 lectures will be held in the Dalton Inn Hotel, Claremorris on Tuesday 25th January, 1st & 8th February from 
8 to 9.30pm.  The speaker for the upcoming series are Dr. Anne O’Leary- “Stories Jesus Told – Parables”.  Fr. Benny Mchale – “The message of the parables for 2005”, and Mary Henwick – “How to pray with a parable”.
ST. VINCENT DE PAUL
The Ballinlough Branch of St.Vincent De Paul would like to thank those that subscribed to, and those that collected at their Church gate collection before Christmas.  Amount Collected in Cloonfad €606 – Sincere Thanks.
CLOONFAD PANTO
Up the Beanstalk’ – Panto in Griffin Inn ---Friday 28th January at 8pm; Sat 29th January 7.30pm.  All proceeds go to Charity.
ADULT NIGHT CLASS
Ballyhaunis Community School – enrolment Monday 24th January at 7.30pm.  Tel. 96 30235.  Classes include ECDL Introduction to Psychology, Wood Turning, Tai Chi and Play and the Developing child, this is a 20hour course aimed at developing youthful skills of Parents and others involved in Child care.
