YOUTH 2000

ANNUAL DAY TRIP
Cloonfad Day Centre Annual Day trip will take place on Wednesday 14th July.  This years destination is Westport.  The trip is open to all from 9 to 90.  So for a day of fun and craic come to Westport on July 14th.  If interested please leave your name at the local Post Office.
OPEN AIR MASSES
Over the next few weeks it is proposed to hold the following Masses outdoor - weather permitting.
Saturday Evening – July 17th 8.15pm – Meeltrane/Cloonarkin Mass Rock.
Monday Evening – July 26th 8.30pm – Granlahan Cemetery
Saturday Evening – July 31st 8.15pm – Cloonfad Cemetery

WEEKLY OFERING

PRAYER MEETING
Prayer Group meet in the Community Centre on Thursday at 8pm.  All are welcome.
24 HOUR CONTINUOUS PRAYER
Tuesday is the 13th Day of July, so it is the turn of Cloonfad Community to pray the 24 hours of continuous prayer for Marriage and Family Life.  We would be grateful if those that signed up to pray one hour per month would pray your allotted time on this Tuesday.  Times from 12.00am Tuesday morning until 12.00pm Tuesday night July 13th.  Thank you for your support.
ANNUAL DAY TRIP
Cloonfad Day Centre Annual Day trip will take place on Wednesday 14th July.  This year’s destination is Westport.  The trip is open to all from 9 to 90. 
The bus will leave from the car park at 11.00am and we hope to be back by 8pm D.V.  A small number of seats are still available so if you are interested in a day of fun and craic please leave your name in the local Post Office before 6pm on Monday 12th July to avoid disappointment.
MICHAEL GLAVEYS
Under 14’s Girls County Semi Final.  Michael Glaveys-v- Ballinamean on Monday 12th July at 7pm in Ballintubber.  Please support.    
MEDUGORJE HOLY HOUR
Experience a Medugorje Holy Hour with special prayers for healing and beautiful Medugorje songs in the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar on Saturday 24th July starting with the Rosary at 8.30pm.  All are welcome.  Further information contact  (087) 4143363.
CLOONFAD CEMETERY
We would like to thank the people from Cloonfad Station Area who looked after the upkeep of the Cemetery for the month of June. We would ask the people from Newtown,Curragh,Hundred Acres and Meeltraun station areas to maintain the grounds for the month of July. We would ask this group to meet at 7:30pm on Monday July 12th.

WESTERN CARE ASSOCIATION
Western Care Association are looking for people to walk, jog or run in the Connacht Gold Classic 10K Road Race which will take place in Balla on Saturday July 24th at 7.00pm.  For information and sponsorship cards, contact the Fund-raising Manager Tel. 094 90 29136.
MISSIONARIES OF THE SACRED HEART
Missionaries of the Sacred Heart will celebrate the 150th Anniversary of their founding with a special pilgrimage to Knock Shrine on Saturday 24th July.  The ceremonies will begin with the Sacrament of Reconciliation at 12noon followed by Stations of the Cross and Rosary at 2pm, and pilgrim Mass and anointing of the sick at 3.00pm.  A video on their work in the mission fields will be showing throughout the day in St. John’s Care centre adjacent to the Basilica.  Pilgrims will be able to meet missionaries there.
CLOONFAD MAGAZINE 2004
A meeting of the above committee will take place in the Community Centre on Tuesday July 20th at 9.00pm.  All members are asked to attend.
CLOONFAD FESTIVAL 2004
Cloonfad Festival will be held from 25th July to 1st August 2004.  Check posters for details.  Information Flyers with all details will be circulated at the weekend.  Please support.

KILTULLAGH HOSPICE SUPPORT GROUP
Holding their annual Fundraising Social in Campbell's Lake O'Flynn, Ballinlough on Friday 30th July at 9p.m. Music by Eamon Kelly Sound.
CLOONFAD UNITED
Holding their Sports Day at the pitch at Lavallyroe this Sunday the 25th, starting with an U-10 soccer exhibition at 2pm. Programmes have been posted in all the village shops, and we would urge people to come out and have a good time.
CLOONFAD MAGAZINE 2004
The magazine committee would like to remind readers that the focus area for Cloonfad 2004 is Clogher Lower & Upper, Clooncam, Rathlena & Derrylahan.  The committee is looking for Articles and photographs for the above areas or indeed any area of interest.  Photographs for weddings and 21st’s are also needed, please hand to any member of the committee or to O’Malleys, Cloonfad.  
CROAGH PATRICK
The annual pilgrimage to Croagh Patrick for reek Sunday takes place this Sunday July 25th.  Masses on summit of mountain from 8am until 3pm at half-hour intervals.
