INDULGENCES
From 12noon on 1st November until midnight on 2nd November all who have confessed, received Holy Communion and prayed for the Pope’s Intentions (One our Father, Hail Mary and any other prayer of your choice) can gain one Plenary Indulgence by visiting a Church or Oratory, and reciting one Our Father and the Apostles Creed.  (2) The faithful who visit a cemetery and pray for the dead may gain a Plenary Indulgence applicable only to the Holy Souls on the usual conditions once per day.
PRAYER MEETING
Prayer Group meet in the Community Centre as usual on Thursday at 8.00pm.  All are welcome.

COMMUNITY ALERT
Monitored Alarm Systems and Pendant Alarms.  Anyone with a monitored alarm system must contact the company monitoring the alarm to give them your amended telephone number i.e 094 96…. which comes into effect this weekend.  ALSO - There is a meeting of Community Alert Groups in Frank Hestors Lounge Castlerea on Monday night November 17th at 8.30pm.  This meeting will be attended by Sgt. Larry Shine, Super Willie Gallagher, by Liaison Gardai with the groups.  For further information contact Bernie Kearney (Muintir na Tire) 0906 62947.
MAYO EPILEPSY GROUP
Mayo Epilepsy Group are holding a meeting in the Travellers Friend Hotel, Castlerea on Tuesday November 18th at 8.30pm.
GRANLAHAN BRANCH I.F.A.
Granlahan Branch IFA will take place on Wednesday night Nov 19th in Granlahan Community Centre at 9pm.  The Chairman of Roscommon IFA committee will attend to discuss Decoupling and any other farming matters.

PASTORAL COUNCIL MEETING
A meeting of the Pastoral Council will take place on Monday night (Dec 1st) at 8.15pm in the usual venue to prepare for Christmas.
CLOONFAD MAGAZINE 2003
Cloonfad Magazine 2003 will be launched at mass next weekend December 6th & 7th.  As usual it makes a very good gift for Xmas especially for people away from home.  We advise to buy early in order to post overseas in time for Christmas. The committee would sincerely like to thank the Patrons for their sponsorship as without them we would not be able produce the magazine.   Committee meeting will take place on Tuesday Dec 2nd in the community centre at 8.30pm.  All members are asked to attend.
CAROL SERVICE PRACTICE
A Carol Service practice will take place on Monday nights from 8 to 9pm.  We are looking for as many voices as possible both male and female.  The night can be changed to suit the majority.  Everyone welcome.
CHRISTMAS LIGHTING
The Christmas Lights will be officially turned on in Cloonfad village on Sunday evening December 7th at 5pm at the Cross-Roads.  All the community are invited to come together to celebrate this joyful occasion.

WASTE DISPOSAL BINS
Would the people who are using the school compost bin and the Community Centre waste bin please refrain from using them as they are not for public use.
ADVENT-A TIME OF WAITING
From December 11 to 14th an Advent Retreat will be held in Cloonfad.  Fr.John Finn M.S.C will walk with us as we prepare ourselves for Christ’s coming.  More details will be posted in next weeks Parish newsletter.
CHRISTMAS BINGO
The Dunmore Community School Parent’s Council are holding their Christmas Bingo on Sunday 7th December at 3pm in Dunmore Community School.  All Welcome.
