PRAYER MEETING
Prayer Group meet in the Community Centre as usual on Thursday at 8.30pm.  All are welcome. 
DAY-CARE CENTRE
Day Centre re-opening on Wednesday 10th Sep at 12noon. 
BADMINTON
Badminton will take place on Tuesday 9th September at 8.30pm.  New and old members welcome.
CONGRATULATIONS
Well done to the ladies Gaelic footballers of Michael Glavey's GAA Club who brought honour to their parish last Sunday by winning their first ever Roscommon Junior Championship.  They now play the Galway Champions in the Connacht Championship on October 25th.
CLOONFAD UTD
Sunday Sep 7th.  Div 1 - Cloonfad Utd ‘B’ –v- St. Johns Athlone.  Kick off 11.30am.  Premier Div – Cloonfad Utd –v- Glen Celtic.  Kick off 2.30pm.  Both games in Cloonfad.  Congrats to the U-14 boys on winning Premier Division title during the week.  Monday Sep 8th.  Roscommon U-14 Cup Round 1 – Cloonfad Utd –v- Ballymoe F.C..  Kick off 7pm.
CLOONFAD MAGAZINE 2003
A committee meeting will take place on Wednesday 10th Sep at 9pm in the Community Centre, and every Wednesday night thereafter until further notice.  All members are asked to attend each week.  The Feature village for this year’s edition is Cloonfad Lower.  The committee is looking for articles, photographs, Wedding & 21st Photographs, Organisation Updates and reports.  Competition for a cover photograph will take place and winning photograph will be the cover.  Photograph needs to be a local landmark or scene and is to exclude people.  Please hand in articles, photographs etc. to O’Malley’s shop or to any member of the magazine committee.  Thank You.
NEWMAN INSTITUTE OF EDUCATION
2 year Courses:  26 Friday evenings and 9 Saturdays per year – Liturgical Arts, Christian Spirituality, Reading the Scriptures.  1-Year Course:  26 Friday evenings and 4 Saturdays – Foundation course in counselling skills.  For further information contact 096-72066 or check Church notice board.
DIPLOMA COURSE IN THEOLOGY & COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
This 2 year part-time course is being offered on Tuesday night at N.U.I Galway.  It is designed for beginners and will provide a basic introduction to key aspects of our Christian Faith and to the theory and skills of Community Development.  Application forms and further information from The Secretary, Western Theological Institute 091 581711 or check Church notice board.
HERITAGE & HARVEST DAY
Williamstown Heritage & Harvest Day will take place on Sunday 7th September, starting at 2pm.
GARRAFRAUNS HERITAGE GROUP
Garrafrauns Heritage group have organised 2 lectures for next Friday night, Sept 12th at 8pm.  1) Industrial Heritage of North Galway.  2) Archaeological Survey of County Galway.  Further details contact Evelyn Kelly 093 38747.
BALLYHAUNIS CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
Hosting a presentation on Tax Matters for Business Owners on Wednesday 10th Sept at 8pm in the Hazel, Ballyhaunis.  Guest speaker Mr.Jerry O’Leary, Accountant Ernst & Young and Nicky Deasy, Senior Corporate Finance Manager with Ernst & Young.

COFFEE MORNING IN AID OF HOSPICE
Kiltullagh Support Group will hold a coffee morning in aid of Mayo/Roscommon hospice on Sunday morning September 21st in Cloonfad Community Centre after Mass at 11.00am and Granlahan Community Centre following 12 noon Mass.  Please support.
REHAB COLLECTION
The Rehab collection taken up at last weeks Masses amounted to €350.  Thanks to all for their support.
CLOONFAD CEMETERY COMMITTEE
The committee would like to thank the people from Pollinalty, Pollaphuca, Fiddaune and Ballykilleen for taking care of the cemetery maintenance for the month of August.  Could the people from Newtown, Curragh, Hundred Acres and Meeltrane take care of the maintenance for September – Times to be arranged among each other.

WESTERN HEALTH BOARD
Looks after many children in Mayo, who, for various reasons cannot live with their parents.  We are now looking for two specific foster families for “Aoife”, a teenage girl, and “Mark” a young boy.  Both “Aoife” and “Mark” have had many difficulties in the past and will provide many challenges in the future. MENTALLY HANDICAPPED ASSOCIATION
Co. Roscommon Association Annual Church Gate collection will take place next weekend October 4th and 5th.
IRISH KIDNEY ASSOCIATION
Church Gate collection collected €314.30.  Sincere thank you for your generosity.
