The Cork Local Voluntary Youth Council, established in October 1994 under the aegis of the Department of Education, is the co-ordinating body for voluntary youth work in Cork City and County. The Council, whose members are volunteers, provides a forum for youth groups to exchange views and develop policy, assess the needs of young people in the area and facilitate the common programmes and research. The Council is supported in its work by the City and County Vocational Educational Committees.

Any youth group wishing to make contact with the Council may do so by e-mailing yiccork@iol.ie or writing to the Cork Local Voluntary Youth Council c/o City of Cork VEC, Emmet Place, Cork, Ireland.
