About Us

Cuidiú - Irish Childbirth Trust is a parent to parent community based voluntary support group. Cuidiú means caring support in Irish. We are a registered charity providing support for families throughout all stages of parenthood - from pregnancy to adolescence.

Our motto is "education and support for parenthood".

Our aim is to provide information to parents which allows them to make informed choices about pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding and parenting. Also to provide a supportive background to empower parents to act upon their decisions.

Cuidiú Dublin North East is a very active branch of approximately 140 members. It covers people living in the following areas:

• North Inner City
• Dublin 3 - Marino, Fairview, East Wall, Dollymount, Clontarf, Clonliffe, Ballybough,
• Dublin 5 - Artane, Harmonstown, Raheny, Coolock
• Dublin 9 - Beaumont, Griffith Ave, Whitehall (east of Swords Road)
• Dublin 13 - Baily, Baldoyle, Bayside, Donaghmede, Sutton and Howth
• In summary, we cover north of Dublin - Dublin 3, Dublin5, Dublin9 and Dublin13 and east of Swords Road.

People who live outside these areas are also welcome to come along to events, but we can also help you to find your nearest Cuidiú branch.
