| The rational was undone. Everywhere human experience was polarised. Empirically deduced ideas of matter replaced mythological human properties with truth.Maps and chronometers were used to show how the world was spatially organised and clocks represented the spatialisation of time. The creation of a culture of disassociation underpinned cultural logic. Nowhere was the effect of consciousness, culture and nature left intact. Only the primitive was preserved. | |
