Brendan White

Artist

Brendan was Born in Ireland in Waterford City.

Brendan started painting as a hobby six years ago and in the short duration since that time he has developed his own unique style.

Some have described Brendan's work as a 'symphony of colour'. Brendan has a gift to capture on canvas the beauty of nature in the real world, realising its true essence through a harmony of varied colour and hue.

In 1995 his first work was purchased by Dún Laoghaire Ráthdown Count Council and since then his work has traveled to Poland, Holland, France, The UK and the US. Cliona Shaffrey, Arts Officer with the Co. Co. has given great support to Brendan over the last few years and has been instrumental in promoting his work.

In 1998 Brendan accepted the invitation to be artist in residence at Our Lady's Boys School in Dublin. While in residence Brendan painted the bright and colourful mural 'Four Seasons'. At present Brendan is working on another mural titled 'Galway Hooker' and is artist in residence at Scoil Bhride.

On the 15 of May 2000 the A.I.B. Bank, Park Avenue, Manhattan, USA hosted an exhibition of Brendan White's work to great success.
