Dúirt mé léi - - I told her that I was thinking of her
Dúirt is past tense of abair - - say. It is irregular in more ways than one. The initial consonant is never lenited ( ~ never aspirated; ~ never takes a "h")

go raibh mé - - that I was is reported speech, claoninsint,
for bhí mé - - I was. I'll get around to claoninsint eventually.
Ag smaoineamh - - thinking is the verbal noun of the verb smaoinigh - - think and is followed by the prepositional pronoun ar - - on. So ag smaoineamh uirthi - - thinking on her i.e. thinking of her. Here are the other forms for "uirthi - - of her"
