Rommel's Troops Captured

British and Commonwealth troops recover ground taken by Italian forces early in the North African campaign. Rommel's Afrika Korps start arriving in February, 1941 to help combat Field Marshall Wavell's armies. By April, 1941 the Korps have crossed from Libya into Egypt. The Eighth Army "Desert Rats" counterattack in November, 1941 as part of a major offensive. The Afrika Korps is finally defeated at El Alamein in July, 1942.
