NATIONAL SCHOOL
The Carnaun School Project
Group
Comprised of mainly 2nd level past pupils of the school, this is a voluntary
group working with and under the guidance of the principal and staff of
Carnaun School.
They help out whenever possible with the many innovative, integrated
and cross curricular projects run by Carnaun School. These students have
expertise in various aspects of communications and technology, website
design, computer maintenance, software, video editing, desktop publishing,
languages, art, music and media.
They give help or workshops to the school’s pupils in the area of
their expertise and they also travel as helpers to the teachers on many
school trips abroad.

“I Eat therefore I am” Schools Comenius Partnership Project 2001/ 2004
(where 16 schools in 14 different European Countries had “food” as the
topic of communication between them. The website www.eat-online.net
has had 580,000 visitors to date.)
The help of the Project Group have been invaluable for our European
projects in terms of ICT, Languages and help on visits to Partner Countries
especially in Sweden, Slovenia,
Latvia, Malta, Romania,
Czech Republic, Bulgaria,
France and Italy.
They also have a part to play in our latest
Comenius Project -
"Growing up in a New Europe"
– 2005 - …… - Where we, a group of schools, in Germany, Sweden,
Wales and Ireland are studying the impact of Cultural Diversity in our
different areas of the New Europe.
Active in the project group for the school
year 2005 / 2006 / 2007 are Michael, Martin, Sarah, Lorna, Brian, Marie,
Claire, Ciara and Tara.
