The weather once again played a trick on us as I write this on Monday the 12th. It's Blue skies and fluffy clouds drifting by on the gentlest of breezes. I kid you not.

I would like to thank everyone for coming down yesterday. 37 Archers was a great turn out.
The event was tough going with the weather definitely hitting people's scores. However everyone seemed happy with the day.
I would like to thank in particular Cliff and Don P for giving up their weekend to come down and classify the course and certify it for field rounds.
Also our club Marshalls Jim, Gavin and Murray who gave up their chance to shoot so we could have fun A heartfelt thank you from the rest of us.
We intend leaving the course in place for the foreseeable future.
Personal thoughts re 60 yrd plus shots.
I found the going hard, shooting instinctively in Recurve Trad and trying to achieve any groups at 60yds or more. Long distances certainly made for a challenging day. As for 80yrds - don't go there! At least we were all in the same boat.
Ray, a ladder will brought up to retrieve your arrow or perhaps we will
leave it as a marker / warning.
