Cork Field Archery Club Hybrid Shoot

Congrats to CFAC on their opening shoot. It was a great achievement for the club ,with help from Black Dog, to set up such an enjoyable and challenging course in a short period of time.
It's certainly is a course with much potential and one that will always be a venue to look forward to. On behalf of Three Counties Archers, thanks to CFAC for such an enjoyable day out.

It was a long journey from home for us. We set off at about 1 o'clock on Saturday. Willie drove and we had a good journey down to Cork stopping once for a quick cup of tea which we made in a picnic area at the road side.
We arrived in Cork at about six. We got our B+B sorted and rambled around Carrigaline for an hour and met up with some of the crew from Black Dog for a nice pint and some good banter & crack. This was the weekend that clocks went forward (please envisage they went forward), as this did confuse some of the locals.
We arrived at the shoot site at 1000 hours, paid our 10 euro and went out to shoot the competition. Much of the work was done by the helpful lads from Black Dog, with organising targets, getting pegs, some signage & marking out targets; excellent work and well done to the work party.
It was a good course with tons of potential for the future. I had to think about some shots as they even caught me out but had a good time. At the end of the day everybody gathered round for the results and prizes. The results were called out that was it. No prizes.
