What can be said about Carrowmore? By far the most fun I've had in quite some time. The weather was perfect, which always helps, and the layout of the course is second to none. Not too much hiking or climbing between shots, which is always a very welcome relief after a long, early morning drive. What the guys in Carrowmore have done with their course should be an inspiration to us all. The tree stands are fantastic, yes, even the leaning 'Rough and Ready Carpentry' one. What a novelty, not being able to see the target unless you were actually up on the stand, it made it all the more fun. Added to that was the fact that quite a number of the targets were 3D, which I personally love shooting at, even though I do occasionally miss them completely. I think there should be an award for best course in any given year, and the winner should get to host an extra shoot the following year. Carrowmore would definitely get my vote this time around. This is one that I will try very hard not to miss whenever they host a shoot. Keep up the good work lads, you're doing a super job, thanks.

…Plus two Garda breath tests (negative results of course) and dozens of crazy motorists etc etc, It was a relief to finally converge on the shoot site.
I had a very enjoyable day and the woods were great. So much work has been put into the course and it showed. Loved the tower shots but I swear the big bear did move away as I loosed my arrows… Other memorable bits… Mark Ivory digging out several arrows from trees, the owl with spectacles, the lovely tree shot shooting down at the deer, and one badly shot up 3D rat. As I'm a lefty, I found some of the pegs posed an interesting challenge. And only for two stupid blanks my day would have been perfect. The weather was much nicer than expected and even more so when I learnt it was lashing rain back in Wexford. Anyway to sum up a very enjoyable day in excellent company and look forward to shooting here again..
