Scoraiocht

At the All Ireland Finals of Scóraíocht held in Ennis on Saturday 25th May as part of the Fleadh Nua, twenty members from the Kilnadeema branch represented Connacht and finished in second place. This was a great achievement as it was the first time to enter the competition. The Scóraíocht competition requires a show of music, song and dance lasting thirty minutes. The theme of the show was "The Yank and the Mummers". This was the show, which won the junior section of the Galway Mummers Festival in New Inn. The group got the top marks of the four competing groups for production and music. The group were: Kristine, Joseph and Martina O Neill, Denise and Robert Costello, Lourda and Susan Kennedy, Lisa and Conall Whelan, Clare and Gerard Forde, Grace and Aine Callanan, Martin James and David Howley, Eoin Connaughton, Sinead Gardiner, Carol Connors and Bernadette Nilan.
