So what is this Sunday Miscellany??
well...
Radio Telefis Eireann have a programme on their RTE 1 Radio channel every Sunday morning.
It's very good. People read their own short pieces and these are interspersed with appropriate sparklings of generally Classical music. It's quite suitable for lying in bed and 'veggie'ing to, which is exactly what a lot of people seem to do.
I've had quite a few Sunday Miscellany contributions to date
and the text of the first, "Digging a Hole for Myself",
is available here.
The second piece, called, "Bad with
Names" was broadcast at the end of July 1998. Here
it is.
Number three went out on Easter Sunday 1999, it was called
"An Elite among Altar Boys" - those titles do keep
getting longer! It's here if you fancy it.
First Miscellany of 2000 was "Night of the Frogs" Catch it here.
'The First Night of 'Alien''
was not used by Miscellany (they should really) but I put it up
on Bebo for reasons by known to myself : ) click here.
The best news is that, now, you don't have to be in Ireland or in possession of a stonking great satellite dish to hear this fine show
You guessed it, Sunday Miscellany is finally on the net!! Check it out here:
