This is an extract from the Theatre Play 'The Moon Cut Like a Sickle'.
Which was sold out for its Linenhall Run

The play is currently enjoying a very successful run with Do You Playhouse - my favorite people.
You can listen to the RTE Programme about the play by clicking here and selecting 'Moon Cut Like a Sickle'
The Moon Cut Like a Sickle even has it's own Bebo page (I'm very impressed by this). Well... it's actually a 'Do You Playhouse' page but my play gets a lot of mentions. : )
Lots of the cast have piccies and things on there.

Here's an extract:
Daisy has just been to see the play 'Lysistrata'. She meets her friends Daisy and Madge
DAISY
So how was the play?
MADGE
I heard it was crap, 'verily' this and
'heretofore' that and 'swounds' -what the feck are 'swounds' anyway
when they're at home ?
LISA
The play... I don't know... it was tough going but I think there was something to it.
DAISY
Yeah? What?
LISA
I think it had to do with the cars.
DAISY
The cars.
LISA
Our men folk...
DAISY
Our what?
MADGE
Men folk?
LISA
Listen. The guys love their cars but they drive way too fast.
DAISY
And?
LISA
That's what the play was saying to me. We've got to stop them.
DAISY
Do we?
LISA
Yes we do.
MADGE
Hang on... this play was saying something to you?
DAISY
Why do we have to stop them?
LISA
Because they aren't able to stop themselves. It's like a war.
DAISY
War?
MADGE
How could we stop them?
DAISY
Why should we stop them? A much better question. What harm are they doing?
LISA
They'll kill themselves... or someone.
MADGE
We could lie down in the road in front of the cars.
DAISY
Then you'll be stupid and flat.
LISA
There is an idea.
MADGE
Lisa has an idea.
DAISY
Big swinging Mickey.
MADGE
No, listen.
DAISY
Why? Why should I?
MADGE
It might just be a good idea.
DAISY
It might just be a dozy crap one as well.
MADGE
Just listen...
They both listen.
LISA
This play? 'Lysistrata'...
DAISY
'Gargled with it for a week, never looked back.
LISA
The men in it were all at war, all of the time, and they wouldn't stop. The women wanted to make them stop...
MADGE
And...?
LISA
And they did stop them, completely.
MADGE
Completely and utterly?
LISA
Yes and we could stop our guys the same way.
MADGE
From going to war?
LISA
From driving like idiots.
MADGE
Ohhhhhh!
DAISY
How?
LISA
Sorry?
DAISY
In this great 'Lysterine' play of yours, how did they stop their men from warring?
LISA
They... withdrew.
MADGE
With...?
LISA
...drew, that's right.
DAISY
How do you mean they 'withdrew'? Where did they withdraw to?
LISA
Not 'where', 'what'?
DAISY
Okay. What did they 'withdraw'?
LISA
Exactly.
DAISY
Lisa... what the hell did they withdraw?
LISA
Everything... their favours.
MADGE
Favours?
DAISY
Hang on... you mean...
She makes an ambiguous gesture with both hands.
LISA
I do.
DAISY
I'm fifteen years old, I don't actually do 'favours'.
MADGE snickers.
MADGE
Yeah, sure.
DAISY
Shut up you.
LISA
I don't mean sex. We're all far too young for that.
MADGE snickers again.
DAISY
I said shut up.
LISA
I mean the things we do do - kissing
and hugging and general ego boosting and... just... riding around with
them in their stupid stupid stupid cars.
DAISY
Withdraw.
LISA
Everything.
DAISY
Until they stop.
LISA
Until they stop.
MADGE
Or at least... Slow down?
LISA
Stop.
MADGE
Stop.
