Congrats to the five solos who qualified at the Connacht Fleadh in Sligo. Well done also to our two bands and grupai cheoil who got third place. It was a new experience for a lot of you and you all gave a great performance.

Just a quick message to say well done to all who competed in solo's, Ceili Bands & the Grupa Cheoil at the Connacht Fleadh in Ballymote Co. Sligo.... The Branch was very proud of you!!! Best of luck to all who qualified in the solo competitions for the All-Ireland!!!

This site is interesting. It brings a bit of history to the town of loughrea.

As a sponser to the youth night of the new inn mummers I have to say that I was over the moon to see such talent from you all and this has spurred me on to continue as a sponser to this great event.
As I regret I did not make my presence in 2005 I am hoping to make 2006 and once again enjoy such great entainers and well done Kilnadeema

Nice listening to you all on RTE Radio 1 last Sept. 10th. live from the Hill!
Unfortunately it worked only half for the Hurling finals. At least the youth (with the future ahead) won their game and the seniors played well but Cork had more luck (and a really good goalkeeper).

Congratulations to everyone from Kilnadeema C.C.E. who competed in the All-Ireland Fleadh in Letterkenny especially the U-18 Ceili band who gave a fantastic performance, Nicola, Cliona & Rosemary in their trio, Martin James & David Howley, Gerry Forde the U-12 Ceili band and the U-18 Grupa Cheoil...
Ye did the branch proud... It was the first Fleadh I missed in a long time but lads I'll be back next year.........

I did so on the session on the 18th of sept. in the Hill, Kylebrack, but again congrats to David Howley and Gerard Forde for their achievements at the national competition. I am back in Ireland not earlier than around Christmas, but I will surely check the Connaughts Tribune for sessions in that period!!

BY the way, I say I was visitor 5000....did I win a price with that (or would that be that I am allowed to join a session....??

I would just like to Congratulate David Howley who won the 12-15 Mandolin & came 3rd in the Banjo 12-15, & Gerard Forde who came 2nd in the 12-15 Piano at the All- Ireland Fleadh Cheoil. A great weekend was had by all and a special hello to all the musicians who joined with us in the session on Monday and Monday night at the Arches.

If anyone at this site would know of a Sam Murray flute which was lost at the all Ireland Fleadh in Clonmel 2004 I would be very much obliged to hear from you. Also, if you could please tell me where Sam Murray is living at the moment as the flute needs to be replaced as soon as possible. Congrats & well done to all the branch members who competed in the Connacht Fleadh recently. Once again you done yourselves, your family and the branch proud. Since the branch started in 1999, I have been looking forward to seeing a ceili band represent the branch at Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann. The first year I miss the Conacht fleadh, two bands qualify. Best of luck to both bands, the grupai cheoil and the individual competitors at the All-Irelands in Clonmel.
