Congrats to the five solos who qualified at the Connacht Fleadh in Sligo. Well done also to our two bands and grupai cheoil who got third place. It was a new experience for a lot of you and you all gave a great performance. |

I did so on the session on the 18th of sept. in the Hill, Kylebrack, but again congrats to David Howley and Gerard Forde for their achievements at the national competition. I am back in Ireland not earlier than around Christmas, but I will surely check the Connaughts Tribune for sessions in that period!! I would just like to Congratulate David Howley who won the 12-15 Mandolin & came 3rd in the Banjo 12-15, & Gerard Forde who came 2nd in the 12-15 Piano at the All- Ireland Fleadh Cheoil. Congrats & well done to all the branch members who competed in the Connacht Fleadh recently. Once again you done yourselves, your family and the branch proud. Since the branch started in 1999, I have been looking forward to seeing a ceili band represent the branch at Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann. The first year I miss the Conacht fleadh, two bands qualify.
