Cappanalea Outdoor Education Centre is the parent organisation of Killarney National Park Education Centre. It falls under the auspices of Kerry Education Service (Co. Kerry VEC) and, like Killarney National Park Education Centre, operates on a non-profit basis.

The Centre is modern and purpose built and comprises a residential building with full catering facilities and a separate block for day visitors. It is situated close to the spectacular Caragh Lake, approximately 15 miles west of Killarney National Park. The Centre provides a range of courses in adventure sports and outdoor education, including hill walking, rock climbing, canoeing, orienteering, raft building, camping and initiative exercises. Most activities take place close to the Centre itself, it being set in the heart of a rugged area comprising many lakes, rivers, crags, and open hill country.
