I couldn't find a hanger cover pattern with this shape, so I made this up.
It's simple and quick.  One 100gm ball of yarn will make at least 4 covers.
Make sure the yarn is color-fast, if damp clothes are to be hung on them.

always be worked into the top of the ch2 of the previous row.  The beg ch2

                  of the previous row.

        dc in next 4 dc,
dec 1 dc at end by working last 2 dc tog, turn.  (14 dc).
(You can also make decreases by simply skipping a dc, if you don't mind a small gap.)
Note:  2dc worked tog = 2dc cluster - see this page

37.   ch1, sc into every dc (incl. the 1st one) and into the top of the ch2 on the previous row at end. (10 sc).
Don't fasten off yet - leave enough yarn (about 40 in.) for sewing the seam with a darning needle.

Poke the hanger hook thru the center of the folded hanger cover.
Hand sew a seam under the hanger, stretching the cover as needed.
If the hanger has a trouser bar, then work around it as you sew. Fasten off.
Decorate with ribbon or sachet if you like.

The flower embellishment was a Helenium flower from Lesley Stanfield's book "100 Flowers to Knit & Crochet".
