A friend of mine sent me this poem - I hope you like it. I think the TA point it makes is about discounting our ability to live without technology. On the other hand, it could also be somewhat discounting the wonders of this mechanized world.
Did Jesus use a modem at the Sermon on the Mount?
Did He ever use a broadcast fax to get His message out?
Did disciples carry bleepers when He sent them out?
Did Jesus use a modem at the sermon on the Mount?
Did apostles use a loptop with lots of RAM and ROM?
Did they use an e-mail alias such as Paul@Rome.com?
Did the man from Macedonia send an e-mail saying 'come'?
Did apostles use a laptop, with lots of RAM and ROM?
Did Moses use a joystick at the parting of the sea?
A satellite guidance tracking system, to show him where to be?
Did he write the law on tablets, or are they on CD?
Did Moses use a joystick at the parting of the sea?
Did Elijah use a VDU to know there'd be a drought?
Did he use a laser to call down fire from nowt?
Did he click his mouse once to bring the rain about?
Did Elijah use a VDU to know there'd be a drought?
Did Jesus really die for us that Friday on the tree?
Or was it just a hologram? Some hi-tech wizardry?
Can you download the video-clip to view on Your PC?
Did Jesus really die for us, that Friday on the tree?
If you find the voice of God is sometimes hard to hear;
With other voices calling His doesn't touch your ear:
Switch off laptop and modem unplug the fancy gear
Open up your Bible and talk to Him in prayer.
Anon.
