"To my delight Tanaiste Mary Harney, Minister for Health & Children has decided to open the Ballymun Health Centre. It was built over two years ago but has remained closed due to some sort of turf war between various Health bodies. Dave Gibney, one of my constituents and one of the G.P.'s working in the old Ballymun Health Centre has kept me informed about this issue and I have brought it up several times in the Seanad, the last time before Christmas during the debate on the Health Service Bill.
"Let us hope common sense is applied by Ms. Harney to other health facilities around the country which are built for years but remained unopened."
