Holy Thursday

Holy Thursday centres on the institution of the Eucharist, with the washing of the feet, as Jesus's did with the apostles, as the central symbol. Fed by the Eucharist we gain strength to care for one another.

Good Friday

The afternoon service began with the Stations of the Cross celebrated with a walk through the parish. With the arrival at the Church the Solemn Commeration of the Passion began.

The traditional evening service on Good Friday in Mount Argus is the 'Seven Last Words'. Seven preachers speak on the seven words spoken by Jesus from the Cross. This year's preachers were Pat Fritgerald, Martin Coffey, John Craven, Pat Rogers, Frank Keevins, Charles Cross, and Anthony O'Leary.

Fr. Joe Kennedy was the Master of Ceremonies and the Garda Male Choir added to the solemnity.
