'Power to Change' comes to Mount Argus On Saturday morning 7th September Anne Loughman and Rob Clarke came to the Blessed Charles Centre, Mount Argus to run a training seminar for those wishing tp participate in the 'Power to Change' Media Campaign in Ireland. About 70 people turned up for the full morning's work.
Four ways to get involved in Mount Argus: 1. Pray and Fast that God will open opportunities for you and others to share the Good News about Jesus. A video about Jesus, a Book and CD-Rom are available in parishes and from the organisers to help people spread the Good News. 2. Over the month, 23rd september to 20th October, Special Events will be oragised at local level in Churches. The Mount Argus programme is as follows: On Thursday 10th, 17th, 24 and 31st October Special Talks and discussions will be held in the 'Upper Room' Mount Argus from 8.00 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. The Sessions will be led by Sean Goan, Fr. Martin Coffey, Grainne Doherty and Fr. Pat Rogers. More details to follow. Jo Egan will lead 4 sessions of Lectio Divina (praying with scripture) in the Community Centre on Tuesdays 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th from 11.00 to 12.00 noon. A Concert by the Garda Band and Choir in aid of St. Vincent de Paul will take place in Mount Argus on Wednesday 30th october beginning at 8.00 p.m. Tickets on sale at 10 euro. 3. Some Churches and Parishes will organise an out-reach in their neighbourhood using the Power-to-Change pack - Jesus video, free Book and the CD-Rom.. 4.
