The World is not what it seems
with daisy chains and fire blazes,
bright red roses and violet hazes,
purring cats contented dogs
hopping rabbits leaping frogs.

Angels flying, babies crying
chimney tops, roof tops almost touching
touching clouds
many people gather in great big crowds.

The Lord will calm stormy seas
leafy branches and tall trees.
To me the World is a creation
made by God's imagination.

Jesus is the Reason for the Season!

Lord, it is your birthday.
I have a gift for you -
all I can offer is an open heart
ready to receive.

It is your birthday
and you have a gift for me -
the gift of yourself.

Fill my cluttered heart
with all that it needs to love.
