Monaghan Presbyterian Youth Movement - To be disciples of Jesus Christ

*About the PYM Youth Council*
The Youth Board of the Presbyterian Church relies upon the effective operation of local Presbytery Youth Movements (otherwise known as PYM). Every PYM is led by a Presbytery Youth Council. The Presbytery Youth Council is made up of the Youth Agent (appointed by and accountable to Presbytery directly) and youth representatives from each congregation or group of congregations in the Presbytery. The Council meets three times a year to plan the programme of our local PYM, share information and encourage participation in all levels of Youth work in our denomination. The Council comprises of approximately 30 members. The Youth Council is entitled to have Youth representatives to sit and deliberate (but not vote) at Presbytery, Synod and General Assembly. This is intended to allow young folk to understand the workings and issues current within our church, but also to enable them to bring a contribution to any debate they wish to make.
