1. Description

*****************************************************************
This is a basic indoor tile set with tiles for hallways and “single hight” rooms. The set is based on arched ceilings and smooth walls with a border. This releas is a set of nif-files only.
The architecture in the Morrowind series is quite rich. I wanted something a little “cleaner” and made this set.
The set is intended to be a modders recourse and I recommend and encourage you to retexture the set but PLEASE READ THE “KNOWN ISSUES” SECTION before you start.
There are no doors in the set but door jambs for the “Sturdy Arched Door” and the “Small Imperial Door” from the game. Some other doors and door jambs in the game will work too.
Only in game textures was used to keep down download size.

Name of the nifs.
This naming system will hopefully make it a little easier to find a specific nif. Also nifs that belong together will be placed together if you sort on the name.

The first group in the name is intend et to identify the current modder. If you modify a nif, change this to your signature.
The second grope is to identify the set.
The first letter in the third group is to identify a certain texture set up. You can have over 60 different texture versions of the same set by just changing this character.
The two other characters in the second grope tells what general group the nif belongs to. Hw for hallways, Ro for room tiles, Dj for door jambs, Do for doors and so on.
The next group describes what the nif is.

So: Oom_Arch_ARo_Corner2.nif say that Oom made this texture version A of the arched tile set and the tile is a corner to be used in a room.
The 32 character limit (including path) makes it hard the specify any further. You will have to open the nif i TESCS to see just what kind of corner this is.

The two last characters of the third grope and the last grope should not be changed. It is also a good idea o leave the second grope as it is.

5. Known issues

General
I made this set while trying to find my way around 3DStudio Max. I learned a lot along the way and tried some different approaches, so the set may not be fully consistent.
A “special feature” of the set (mistake) is that the Blinn shader is used.

Texturing
NOTE! Using a patterned texture, like bricks, in the sealing will not work well. With exception of the borders, the set is intended to be used with none patterned textures as patterned textures may give visible distortion.

The niche2 tile
The niche2 tile is more than 265x265 units. It can not be used back to back with a niche1 tile or another niche2 tile. Clipping may also occur if used back to back with other tile sets.

The grates
NPCs my get stuck in the mesh. Be careful, specialty when opening and closing the grate door.

Dome tiles
The dome tiles will not fit the “Velothi set” as the ceiling hight don't match, sorry.

Corner3
I don't think this tile fit in with fully the rest of the set. The squared corner don't mix naturally with the arched ceiling. I recommend you to avoid using it. This is my personal opinion and I fully respect anyone how don't share it.
