PAULS BIRTHDAY. Went for dinner with Katie, Emer and Patrick. Then for a pint in Buskers. Bassist with Seminal Groove. Paul was always happiest when he was playing bass. Sometimes he and sean would play little songs together. How funny it was to see Paul playing with Sean. Or to watch sean give paul a good rogering with his guitar. Paul sold his bass for drink effectively bringing the curtain down on his musical career. Paul was less ineterested in music from then on, and as a result less interested in sean. But the two still shared one common bond - their love of drink. Sean was always a bit of a naggin and three cans man, whereas Paul was more of a can and three naggins type of lad.
Happy birthday Paul, and keep on rocking

Ross and Alicia went off to Turkey.
Saturday 12-06-04
Hooray the big day. Ross, Alicia, Trevor, Eileen, David Nestor and Michelle O'Malley are but a few who came up in the train. David and Michelle were flatmates of mine since college. Keith they were asking for you. Because the Rugby match was on I didn't want to see the Hot House Flowers not because the name is a bit daft. I also missed Groove Armada. Ireland lost the fricking match against south Africa by about two tries. BOOO. I saw the end of the thrills, YAWN, and then the Pixies came on. STEVE, ROSS they were worth dying for I swear. As you can see from the pics, being small is not condusive for going up the front and seeing nothing, so I stayed back, (pic1, pic2, pic3,pic4) There were many many people there. Actually for some bizarre reason it was under 18s accompanied by adults. So that just meant there were thousands of drunken 14 year olds kicking each other in the balls and dry riding. The Chilis were on after, I saw them last year so I wasn't pushed and left after a few songs that we've all heard 3000 times. I'd have much rather seen the pixies in a smaller venue.

Friday 11-06-04
Had today off. Drove up to Dublin with Emma. Stayed in the Aisling Hotel. Went to the Stags Head where we met up with friends of Emma. Cally and Carl amongst many others. Ollie Brady, Mark Graham and his girlfriend, Paul Melia and David Coyle, Thomás and his girlfiend. Ah there were loads. Not too much of a late night because there was a big day ahead of us all.

Thursday. 10-06-04
Steve wanted to be a biscuit. A mikado to be exact. See below right.
Since I had Friday off I went for a couple of pints with John Henihan, Noel Griffin and Hughie Sweeney into the Huntsman. stayed up a bit too late.

Tuesday 08-06-04
Paul Dorai-Raj kicked poor John out of his apartment. So cruel. Since i couldn't bear to see young John out in the street I took him in.

Monday. 07-06-04

Thursday. 03-06-04
Because of the day that was in it. Had a pint in the cellar then went into the Kings Head. Fearghal , Emma, Sarah and a few of Emma's friend were there. I can't remember the name of the band. Turnpike, turnspit, titspit. God knows. They were an Ok cover band. The guitarist was a bit annoying as he hada remote radio jack in his guitar allowing him to go around and pull a pint whilst playing. Git... killian, john and Owen McD arrived in and after that was all over we headed up to Cuba. I was a little tipsy at this stage and danced for Ireland.
