My time at Shanbally N.S by Peter Twomey
My time at Shanbally N.S was long and enjoyable. I have spent eight years at this school and I will miss it definetly but as I take the big leap to secondary school I will remember all the enjoyable times I have had here. I can barly remember my first day here. All I can really recall was playing with the dinky cars with Bryan. The next few years flew by. I spent two years with Mrs Tuohy, three years with Miss Kelly, one year with Mrs Barry and two years here with Mr. Shanahan. I will always remeber the trip to Wales which was one of the best experiences of my life. Another great memory was the school tour a few years back to Tralee when we went to the aqua dome which was great. And also the teddy bears picnic which was great fun with the junior and senior infants. My favourite class was probably the class I’m just about to leave, sixth class. It was a class I have been relishing ever since they went Wales when I was in third class. My favourite teacher was probably Mr. Shanahan because we experienced so much in his class. The worst thing in my mind in this school happened every day. It was homework. And as I take the big step to secondary school I would like to thank the teachers who have thought me over the years, the staff, my parents for sending me here and my friends for making my stay here more enjoyable and I will always remember the teachers, my classmates, the school its self and most importantly going home time.
