We were all exhausted! It was around 3:00pm.

After nearly 12 hours of travelling from Cork to Rosslare, Rosslare to Pembroke, Pembroke to Llanarth, we arrived! Our journey across was completed, at last. The scenery that we could see was breath taking. There were blue skies, stretching green fields, seaside towns, sandy beaches and more. The day was glorious! Nearly everyone on the bus felt like sleeping (but luckily, I slept on the boat). We drove and we drove, all of us eager to arrive, and finally we did! We turned into the school car park to see crowds cheering and waving at us. Between some students, there was a huge banner saying: ‘Welcome, Croeso, Fáilte’ As we got off the bus, Mr. Thomas (the principle) welcomed us all. We then were introduced to our pen-pals. Everybody was making us feel special and welcome. We were delighted to actually see our pen-pals face to face after years of writing! After a while of taking photographs and ex-changing gifts with our pen-pals, the crowd drifted away and we entered the school for some re-freshments. The school is a lovely place. Judging by the artwork hanging up on the walls, there are some very talented artists at the school. We entered a small room where our re-freshments were laid. There was Welsh cakes, sandwiches, crisps, kit-kats, jaffa-cakes and drinks. After our short but lovely meal, we were told to go to the office where a teacher and Mr.Thomas took our old pen-pals’ names to try and contact them to invite them to the disco on Thursday night. We then finished off our meal and headed across the road to Llanina (our B+B). The sun was still shining! Arriving at the school for the first time was FANTASTIC!!! Wales was the best school- tour EVER. I don’t think anybody will forget it!
