Dear Parents,
Here is a list of Upcoming Closings for your attention.
Staff Training Day: - Thursday 30th September - School closed
Mid-Term Break: - 25th October - 29th October inclusive
In-Service Day: - Monday 1st November - School closed
Parent/Teacher Meetings: - Thursday 2nd + Friday 3rd December
School closes at 12.45pm - both days.
Appointment times will be issued beforehand.
Staff Meeting: -Wednesday 8th December.

Christmas Holidays: -Wednesday 22nd December - 9th January
School closes at 12 noon
School re-opens: -Monday 10th January.
Once again the time has come around for our "TERRY FOX RUN".
Shanbally National School has been participating in this very worthwhile event
for the last ten years. Any monies collected in Ireland stays in Ireland for
Cancer Research. We would really appreciate if you could attend this event and
also acquire some sponsorship for the event. Each family will receive a sponsorship
card and further cards will be available at the school office.
DATE: SATURDAY OCTOBER 16th
VENUE: SHANBALLY NATIONAL SCHOOL.
TIME: 12 NOON
Since we returned back to school, there is a lot of confusion and mix up of School Jumpers and Track-suit Tops, and we are asking for these to be labelled, so that the children can identify their own.
We have some children's tables available if any person would like them. They are available on a first come basis, any day after school.

Dear Parents,
Welcome back after the Summer Break, and a particular welcome to the Parents and children of Junior Infants and those who have come to us across the classes from other schools. Our numbers continue to grow, but we do have a ceiling to those numbers, which should enable us to have one teacher per class within the next two years. We have no plans to grow beyond that point.
As this is our initial note, I will confine it to the most immediate issues, for your attention!
