Polocrosse comes to County Wicklow.

This ever growing equine sport has yet again expanded to another area of Ireland. "Wicklow Bay Polocrosse" is proof of the appetite and love of the Game.

Though there are already six strong clubs in the country, this new club fills the gap on the east coast between Dublin and South Wexford.Click on image to enlarge Since its formation in summer 2003, it has grown to a membership of almost twenty.

Every week brings new faces that soon become addicted to -The King of one horse sports.

Polocrosse is a mixture of Polo and lacrosse. Teams of players use cane sticks, with a net, to carry, pass the ball and then score goals.

The ball itself is a sponge type with rubber coating. As only one horse is allowed per player, it opens up the game to one horse owners being able to participate.

Polocrosse caters for all types of players and horses, from ponies to cobs to eventers etc.
