Michael Carty (35) Farmer, Youngstown: Goalkeeper Mick was on the team that won the Jim Byrne Cup in 1982/83 and is a holder of an Intermediate Football medal for 1984. He has kept a clean sheet in the last 3 matches.
Noel Doyle (32) Farmer, Rahard: Cornerback Noel is veteran well known for his committed performances. He has been one of the first names pencilled in on hurling and football teams for many years. He won a Junior Hurling medal in 1987. He is married to club secretary, Bridie.
Trevor McLoughlan (23) Plasterer, Stream Street: This is Trevor's first season at fullback and the solid play of the fullback line has had a lot to do with the team reaching the final. He won an U-12 medal in 1989. His brother Jason is also on the team.
Michael O'Gorman (19) Student, Caroreigh: This is Mike's first season on the first team. He has played at wingback as well as corner back. He holds county medals for juvenile hurling (1998) and minor football (2000). He is the son of Mick, a stalwart of Taghmon teams down the years and a nephew of Tom.
David Foley (32) Systems Analyst, Clohultagh: David is an experienced wingback who joined the club this year from Ballytore in Offaly. He has represented Offaly in senior football and won a Leinster championship, a national league and three O'Byrne Cups. He also won an Offaly Intermediate Football championship with his club
Eoin O'Gorman (31) Solicitor, Poulpeasty: Veteran back Eoin represented Wexford and holds a All-Ireland Junior Football medal (1992). He won a Junior Hurling medal with the club in 1987 and played senior football at UCC. He is a son of County Discipline Committee Chairman, Noel and a cousin of Bernard.
Jimmy Doran (21) Plasterer, Cloonerane: Jimmy is one of the team's most accomplished defenders and is already an experienced player despite his youth. He is captain of the U-21 team which this year has qualified for the county semi-final.
Michael O'Sullivan (24) Painter, Coolraheen: 'Mick Sully' is an experienced midfielder and dogged battler. His performance in the semi-final was crucial to the club's success. He holds a medal for the 1989 U-12 victory.
Micheál O'Grady (23) Blocklayer, Aughermon: Micheál has represented Wexford in underage football. He won several underage hurling title with former club, Bannow- Ballymitty. He has played at full forward as well as in midfield. He is not one to shirk a challenge.
Adrian Morrissey (19) Apprentice Plasterer, Coolcull: Adrian is captain of the team. He has won county titles in hurling (1998 juvenile) and football (2000 minor) and was the leading scorer. He is the grandson of Aidan who was chairman for many years and a major force behind the club's development. His father Liam managed the teams in 1998 and 2000 which brought long overdue underage success to the club.
Derek Breen (25) Plasterer, Monastery Avenue: Derek is a veteran centre forward and a brilliant hurler. He is one of the clubs most effective forwards and scored the goal and crucial equalising point in the semi-final against Craanford.
Jason Delaney (18) Student, Harveystown: Jason won county titles in hurling (1998 juvenile) and football (2000 minor). He played minor football with Wexford and won two Leinster Football titles with his school, Good Counsel. He is an incisive forward whose penetrating runs trouble opposing defences.
Jason McLoughlan (24) Painter, Stream Street: Jason is the oldest of the McLoughlan brothers on the team. He won a Leinster Junior Football title with Wexford in 2000. He was one of the five members of the panel who won U-12 in 1989. He has been the main scoring threat for Taghmon teams for the last decade.
Malcolm McLoughlan (22) Plasterer, Joseph Street: Malcolm is a cousin of Jason and Trevor. He played on the Taghmon team which won the U-12 football county title in 1989. He represented Wexford in minor and juvenile football. He is a skilful forward and scored a crucial goal in the quarterfinal victory against Ferns.
Lloyd Colfer (17) Student, Camross: Lloyd proves the old maxim that if you are good enough you are old enough. Since joining the intermediate team midway through the season he has proved his worth picking up good scores in each of his outings. Before playing intermediate he put in a stellar performance for the junior B's scoring 1-6 of 1-9 in the 3 point win over Gusserane.
Shane Fox (20) Student, Main Street: Reserve goalie Shane plays for the club's U-21 and junior team. He has a reliable pair of hands if he is needed.
Tom O'Gorman (38) Financial Services Consultant, Growtown: Tom is one of the most experienced players on the panel and was captain of the 1984 Intermediate Football team and of the 1987 Junior Hurling team. He was fullback on the Wexford All-Ireland junior team in 1992 and won a Leinster junior medal in 1984. He won a Jim Byrne Cup medal in 1981/82. He had also coached underage teams to success with the club.
Michael Nolan (21) Farmer, Bricketstown: Michael is a speedy corner back in hurling and football. He won an All-Ireland hurling medal with Kildalton Agricultural College.
Martin Coady (18) Apprentice Fitter, Knockbroad: Martin won an All-Ireland medal when he was on the Wexford Tony Forristal Shield winning team in 1997 and also represented Wexford on Leinster winning teams U-15 and U-16. He won county titles in hurling (1998 juvenile) and football (2000 minor).
Joe Doyle (22) Plasterer, Assagart: Joe is an accurate free-taker and one of the stalwarts of the junior team. He is an accomplished wing-back on the first hurling team. He is one of the selectors of the U-21 football team which has qualified for the county semi-final.
Bernard O'Gorman (36) Farmer, Poulpeasty: Bernard along with twin brother Padraig and older brother John played senior football with Wexford for years. With the club he has won Jim Byrne Cups 81/82 and 82/83, minor hurling 1982, intermediate football 1984 and junior hurling 1987. He is also a selector of the team. He has played in the forwards and backs so far this season.
Dermot Breen (24) Bank Official, Monastery Avenue: Deeno, a brother of Derek, is one of the most talented footballers on the team. Unfortunately his career has been hampered by serious injury. He is a potent player to have on the bench when a steadying influence is needed in the middle of the park late in a game. He won an U- 12 county football championship in 1989.
Ger Power (26) IT Technician, Market Square: Ger was the leading scorer for the junior team this year. He was on the 1996 U-21 team which won the New Ross district title.
Darragh Kelly (25) Roofer, Bricketstown: Darragh is a larger than life character and captain of the junior team. He can play at full-back and centre forward. He captained the 1996 New Ross district U-21 winning side.
John Kavanagh (21) Roofer, Camross: John is one of the most committed players on the club who always gives 110%. He is a midfielder on the junior team.
Darren Colfer (18) Student, Tincurra: Until picking up a serious injury in a minor match wingback Darren was in the first fifteen. He was on the Wexford minor hurling team this year. He won an All-Ireland medal when he was on the Wexford Tony Forristal Shield winning team in 1997. He won county titles in hurling (1998 juvenile) and football (2000 minor).
Jonathon Waters (20) Roofer, Ballyhennigan: Jonny is committed performer in both hurling and football and can play in most positions. He won a hurling All-Ireland with Wexford Vocational Schools in 1998. He was wing-forward on the team early in the year before going to America and has come back especially for the final.
Team manager and trainer Barry McGrath from Harveystown is a mechanic. He has previously managed and trained the club's Lady Footballers to county success. As a player he has won Jim Byrne Cups in 81/82 and 82/83, minor hurling in 1982 and intermediate football in 1984. His no compromise style has gotten the best out of panel.
Selector and player Bernard O'Gorman from Poulpeasty is a farmer. He played senior football with Wexford for years. He has won Jim Byrne Cups in 81/82 and 82/83, minor hurling 1982, intermediate football 1984 and junior hurling 1987. He is link between the back-room team and the players. His year's of experience playing at the top level helps him guide and support the younger players both on and off the field.
Selector Derek Kent from Harristown is a Company director. He has been a selector on several of the club's underage teams who have achieved success in recent years. He is vice-chairman of the club and chairman of Bord na nÓg. As a player with Glynn-Barntown he won Intermediate Hurling and Football titles and numerous underage medals including the Jim Byrne cup. He remains an active junior player. Since he came on board late in the campaign, his businesslike approach has helped focus the team on what is necessary to win.
Paul Hannon from Coolcull is a junior selector and assistant. He has been a very active servant of the club on the sideline for many years. He is familiar with all of the players on the panel, especially those who have come up from junior.
