Byrne Cup

Taghmon-Camross commenced its Byrne Cup minor football campaign on Sunday December 20 in Taghmon and had a good result with a draw against Horeswood 1-8 to 2-5. Best for Taghmon were Michael O’Gorman, Jonny Waters, Jason Delaney and Owen Morrissey in goal. The scorers for Taghmon were Adrian Morrissey (0-4), Brian O’Gorman (1-1), and Jason Delaney (0-3).

Coiste Seana Gael

Veteran players Mick Walsh of Chapel Street and Matt Banville of Assagart were honoured recently at the Coiste Seana Gael ceremony.

Bord na nÓg AGM

The underage AGM will take place on Monday January 11 at 7:30 pm in Taghmon N.S. It has been a successful season for Underage with the successes of the juvenile hurlers and U-10 footballers. All parents and others interested are requested to attend.
